They think it is strange that you don’t run with them into the same excess of riot, blaspheming:
In the same way, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word;
But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
So the tongue is also a little member, and boasts great things. See how a small fire can spread to a large forest!
Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.
