Ocean

To him who spread out the earth above the waters; for his loving kindness endures forever:

Thus says Yahweh, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea, so that its waves roar; Yahweh of Armies is his name:

You rule the pride of the sea. When its waves rise up, you calm them.

The birds of the sky, the fish of the sea, and whatever passes through the paths of the seas.

He makes the storm a calm, so that its waves are still.

He stretches out the north over empty space, and hangs the earth on nothing.

In his days Hiel the Bethelite built Jericho: he laid its foundation with the loss of Abiram his firstborn, and set up its gates with the loss of his youngest son Segub, according to Yahweh’s word, which he spoke by Joshua the son of Nun.

The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them. They were judged, each one according to his works.

He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you.

If the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves on the earth; and if a tree falls toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falls, there shall it be.
