REVELATION 21:1 — KING JAMES VERSION 1

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.”

Then I saw 'a new heaven and a new earth,' for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea - the old creation, marked by separation and chaos (the sea), is replaced by new creation. The new heaven and earth signal the restoration and renewal of all things in God's ultimate purpose.
