backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

For God commanded, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’and, ‘He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him be put to death.’

For, “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

They didn’t keep God’s covenant, and refused to walk in his law.
