Revelation 20
15 verses
An angel binds Satan for a thousand years, sealing him in the bottomless pit so he cannot deceive the nations, though after that brief period he must be released for a short time—a millennium of restricted demonic activity. The martyrs and those who rejected the beast's mark come to life and reign with Christ for a thousand years in the first resurrection, while the rest of the dead do not come to life until the thousand years are completed. After the thousand years, Satan is released and deceives the nations again, gathering Gog and Magog for war against the camp of the saints and the beloved city, representing a final rebellion before the ultimate judgment. Fire comes down from heaven and consumes the rebel armies, and the devil is thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and false prophet are already tormented day and night forever and ever. The great white throne appears, and all the dead stand before it to be judged according to what they have done, while Death and Hades are thrown into the lake of fire—the second death—indicating the final abolishment of all evil forces and the complete establishment of God's kingdom.

And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
