The Nature Of Man

for I have known that there doth not dwell in me, that is, in my flesh, good: for to will is present with me, and to work that which is right I do not find,

Put to death, then, your members that <FI>are<Fi> upon the earth--whoredom, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and the covetousness, which is idolatry--

Whence <FI>are<Fi> wars and fightings among you? not thence--out of your passions, that are as soldiers in your members?

And I say: In the Spirit walk ye, and the desire of the flesh ye may not complete;

A wretched man I <FI>am<Fi> ! who shall deliver me out of the body of this death?

and the natural man doth not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for to him they are foolishness, and he is not able to know <FI>them<Fi> , because spiritually they are discerned;

wherefore, we faint not, but if also our outward man doth decay, yet the inward is renewed day by day;

Truth I say in Christ, I lie not, my conscience bearing testimony with me in the Holy Spirit,

God <FI>is<Fi> a Spirit, and those worshipping Him, in spirit and truth it doth behove to worship.'
