Nightmares

When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet.

In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety.

You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day;

Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

The fear of Yahweh leads to life, then contentment; he rests and will not be touched by trouble.

When you walk, it will lead you. When you sleep, it will watch over you. When you awake, it will talk with you.

It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones.

For I, Yahweh your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I will help you.’

Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who lives in us yearns jealously”?

It will be like when a hungry man dreams, and behold, he eats; but he awakes, and his hunger isn’t satisfied; or like when a thirsty man dreams, and behold, he drinks; but he awakes, and behold, he is faint, and he is still thirsty. He said, “Now hear my words. If there is a prophet among you, I, Yahweh, will make myself known to him in a vision. I will speak with him in a dream.

This is the Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things which must happen soon, which he sent and made known by his angel to his servant, John,

While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying, “Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.”

Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever things you release on earth will have been released in heaven.

When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.
