The Ocean

Bird of the heavens, and fish of the sea, Passing through the paths of the seas!

When thou passest into waters, I <FI>am<Fi> with thee, And into floods, they do not overflow thee, When thou goest into fire, thou art not burnt, And a flame doth not burn against thee.

the earth hath existed waste and void, and darkness <FI>is<Fi> on the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God fluttering on the face of the waters,

He doth turn back, He pitieth us, He doth subdue our iniquities, And Thou castest into the depths of the sea all their sins.

Who is building in the heavens His upper chambers; As to His troop, Upon earth He hath founded it, Who is calling for the waters of the sea, And poureth them out on the face of the land, Jehovah <FI>is<Fi> His name.

In His preparing the heavens I <FI>am<Fi> there, In His decreeing a circle on the face of the deep,

Thus said Jehovah, Who is giving the sun for a light by day, The statutes of moon and stars for a light by night, Quieting the sea when its billows roar, Jehovah of Hosts <FI>is<Fi> His name:

Counsel in the heart of a man <FI>is<Fi> deep water, And a man of understanding draweth it up.

He establisheth a whirlwind to a calm, And hushed are their billows.

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth did pass away, and the sea is not any more;

If the thick clouds are full of rain, On the earth they empty <FI>themselves<Fi> ; And if a tree doth fall in the south or to the north, The place where the tree falleth, there it is.

And He shutteth up with doors the sea, In its coming forth, from the womb it goeth out.

And God saith, `Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness, and let them rule over fish of the sea, and over fowl of the heavens, and over cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that is creeping on the earth.'

This, the sea, great and broad of sides, There <FI>are<Fi> moving things--innumerable, Living creatures--small with great.

Me do ye not fear, an affirmation of Jehovah? From My presence are ye not pained? Who hath made sand the border of the sea, A limit age-during, and it passeth not over it, They shake themselves, and they are not able, Yea, sounded have its billows, and they pass not over.

Thou <FI>art<Fi> ruler over the pride of the sea, In the lifting up of its billows Thou dost restrain them.

and the sea did give up those dead in it, and the death and the hades did give up the dead in them, and they were judged, each one according to their works;

And God prepareth the great monsters, and every living creature that is creeping, which the waters have teemed with, after their kind, and every fowl with wing, after its kind, and God seeth that <FI>it is<Fi> good.

I take the wings of morning, I dwell in the uttermost part of the sea,

For full is the earth of the knowledge of the honour of Jehovah, As waters cover <FI>the bottom of<Fi> a sea.

And God calleth to the dry land `Earth,' and to the collection of the waters He hath called `Seas;' and God seeth that <FI>it is<Fi> good.

because nothing shall be impossible with God.'

He cleaveth rocks in a wilderness, And giveth drink--as the great deep.

if we may confess our sins, stedfast He is and righteous that He may forgive us the sins, and may cleanse us from every unrighteousness;
