God Caring For Widows

A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, Is God in his holy habitation.

Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth; and the reproach of thy widowhood shalt thou remember no more. — read the full passage →

Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, hath her hope set on God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day.
