Exhortation Husbands

therefore doth a man leave his father and his mother, and hath cleaved unto his wife, and they have become one flesh.
`for this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife, and they shall be--the two--for one flesh;'
that he might present it to himself the assembly in glory, not having spot or wrinkle, or any of such things, but that it may be holy and unblemished;
The husbands! love your own wives, as also the Christ did love the assembly, and did give himself for it,
subjecting yourselves to one another in the fear of God.
And God prepareth the man in His image; in the image of God He prepared him, a male and a female He prepared them.
And God saith, `Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness, and let them rule over fish of the sea, and over fowl of the heavens, and over cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that is creeping on the earth.' — read the full passage →
Unto the woman He said, `Multiplying I multiply thy sorrow and thy conception, in sorrow dost thou bear children, and toward thy husband <FI>is<Fi> thy desire, and he doth rule over thee.'

and ye <FI>are<Fi> a choice race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people acquired, that the excellences ye may shew forth of Him who out of darkness did call you to His wondrous light;
Wherefore, coming into the world, he saith, `Sacrifice and offering Thou didst not will, and a body Thou didst prepare for me,
for we have not a chief priest unable to sympathise with our infirmities, but <FI>one<Fi> tempted in all things in like manner--apart from sin;
