The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge; Butthe foolish despise wisdom and instruction.
Train up a child in the way he should go, And even when he is old he will not depart from it.
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but nurture them in the chastening and admonition of the Lord.
For wisdom is a defence, even as money is a defence; but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom preserveth the life of him that hath it.
The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; And the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.
Every scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness:

But speak thou the things which befit the sound doctrine:
The rod and reproof give wisdom; But a child left to himself causeth shame to his mother.
