“And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.”
'The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp' - God's glory and the Lamb's light replace the sun and moon, natural sources of illumination. The inhabitants live in eternal day, the light of God's presence.
