“Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.”
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord! The final verse extends the call to praise to all living creatures; everything that breathes is summoned to worship. The final Hallelujah creates bookend to the Psalter's final movement; the entire collection culminates in unrestricted universal praise. This verse affirms that all creation—human and animal, visible and invisible, present and future—is called to eternal adoration of God. The Psalter ends not with human achievement but with cosmic chorus of praise to God.
