Intercede

I exhort, then, first of all, there be made supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings, for all men:

whence also he is able to save to the very end, those coming through him unto God--ever living to make intercession for them.

till now ye did ask nothing in my name; ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

My little children, these things I write to you, that ye may not sin: and if any one may sin, an advocate we have with the Father, Jesus Christ, a righteous one,

And, in like manner also, the Spirit doth help our weaknesses; for, what we may pray for, as it behoveth <FI>us<Fi> , we have not known, but the Spirit himself doth make intercession for us with groanings unutterable,

`Take heed, therefore, to yourselves, and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit made you overseers, to feed the assembly of God that He acquired through His own blood,

Therefore, we also having so great a cloud of witnesses set around us, every weight having put off, and the closely besetting sin, through endurance may we run the contest that is set before us, — read the full passage →

No temptation hath taken you--except human; and God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what ye are able, but He will make, with the temptation, also the outlet, for your being able to bear <FI>it<Fi> .
