Eating Fish

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying unto them, — read the full passage →

`This ye do eat of all which <FI>are<Fi> in the waters; any one that hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the brooks, them ye do eat; — read the full passage →

And God saith, `Lo, I have given to you every herb sowing seed, which <FI>is<Fi> upon the face of all the earth, and every tree in which <FI>is<Fi> the fruit of a tree sowing seed, to you it is for food;

and they gave to him part of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb, — read the full passage →

and any one that hath not fins and scales in the seas, and in the brooks, of any teeming creature of the waters, and of any creature which liveth, which <FI>is<Fi> in the waters--an abomination they <FI>are<Fi> to you;

And God blesseth them, and God saith to them, `Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule over fish of the sea, and over fowl of the heavens, and over every living thing that is creeping upon the earth.'

A revelation of Jesus Christ, that God gave to him, to shew to his servants what things it behoveth to come to pass quickly; and he did signify <FI>it<Fi> , having sent through his messenger to his servant John,

any dividing a hoof, and cleaving the cleft of the hoofs, bringing up the cud, among the beasts, it ye do eat.

Every creeping thing that is alive, to you it is for food; as the green herb I have given to you the whole;

`And a man who lieth with a male as one lieth with a woman; abomination both of them have done; they are certainly put to death; their blood <FI>is<Fi> on them.

`My statutes ye do keep: thy cattle thou dost not cause to gender <FI>with<Fi> diverse kinds; thy field thou dost not sow with diverse kinds, and a garment of diverse kinds, shaatnez, doth not go up upon thee.

and they gave to him part of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb,

And Jehovah appointeth a great fish to swallow up Jonah, and Jonah is in the bowels of the fish three days and three nights.

for, as Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights, so shall the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.

And Jehovah saith to the fish, and it vomiteth out Jonah on the dry land.

And God prepareth the great monsters, and every living creature that is creeping, which the waters have teemed with, after their kind, and every fowl with wing, after its kind, and God seeth that <FI>it is<Fi> good.

We have remembered the fish which we do eat in Egypt for nought, the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick;

Be sober, vigilant, because your opponent the devil, as a roaring lion, doth walk about, seeking whom he may swallow up,

because it doth not enter into his heart, but into the belly, and into the drain it doth go out, purifying all the meats.'

And Jonah prayeth unto Jehovah his God from the bowels of the fish.
