The Lord's Prayer rooted in Genesis. I never made that connection explicitly but it's so clear. Give us this day our daily bread — prayed to the God who built provision into the fabric of creation.

God makes space for difference — I love this. The creation of the firmament as an act of generous separation. He doesn't collapse everything into one; He creates room for diversity.

Very good. Not just good — very good. God steps back and surveys everything, including the man and woman, and the verdict is very good. Whatever shame or inadequacy I carry, this is the original word spoken over human existence.

Let the waters be gathered — and they were. The obedience of creation to God's word is instantaneous and total. What would it look like for my obedience to His word to be the same?
