On that day every prophet will be ashamed of his vision when he prophesies; they will not put on a hairy cloak in order to deceive, but each of them will say, I am not a prophet. I am a tiller of the ground; for the land has been my possession since my youth. The hairy cloak (distinctive prophetic garment) becomes unnecessary and shameful, indicating that authentic prophecy will be so clearly manifest that false claims become transparent. The return to agricultural work suggests that redeemed humanity will embrace honest labor rather than parasitic spiritual pretense.
