Gaius, whose hospitality I and the whole church here enjoy, sends you his greetings. Erastus, the city's director of public works, and our brother Quartus send their greetings. — Gaios (Gaius), my host (xenos mou) and the whole ekklēsias (church), aspazo hymas (greets you). Erastus (Erastus), the oikonomos tēs poleōs (steward, manager of the city), and Quartus (Quartus), adelphos (brother), aspazo hymas (greet you).
