“And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.”
He said to me, 'It is done; I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End; to the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life' - the completion is announced: all is finished, all purposes are fulfilled. God's self-designation as Alpha and Omega brackets all time and existence in his control. To the thirsty (spiritually parched), he offers freely the water of eternal life.
