And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life - the final word on the city repeats the requirement for purity and the necessity of being written in the Lamb's book of life. Only the redeemed, those whose allegiance and names belong to Christ, inherit eternal dwelling with God.
