“On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.”
There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west - the twelve gates are distributed equally on all four sides, indicating universal access and the completeness of God's purpose. All peoples may enter from every direction.
