“Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.”
The judgment's consequence: "Therefore in my anger I swore, 'They shall not enter my rest.'" The exclusion from the promised land (God's rest) becomes the consequence of unfaithfulness. The oath is binding.
