“Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.”
The call to all who fear God to come and listen as the psalmist recounts what God has done establishes the testimony dimension of worship: personal experience of divine action becomes witness to the community. The reference to those who fear God indicates that the testimony is directed to those already in covenant relationship with God.
