“Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the Lord.”
Happy are the people to whom such blessings fall; happy are the people whose God is the Lord. The beatitude affirms that happiness derives from relationship with God; those whose God is the Lord experience the blessings enumerated in preceding verses. The parallel construction (Happy are the people to whom blessings fall / Happy are the people whose God is the Lord) suggests that having God as their God is itself the supreme blessing. This verse concludes the psalm by affirming that covenant relationship with God is the source of all true happiness.
