“Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.”
I know that the Lord maintains the cause of the needy, and executes justice for the poor. The affirmation of God's commitment to the vulnerable becomes the ground for confidence throughout the psalm. The Lord maintains the cause establishes God as advocate and defender of those without power to defend themselves. This verse expresses trust that God hears the prayers of the oppressed and will ensure that justice prevails.
