Praise the LORD! I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation. The acrostic psalm opens with commitment to whole-hearted thanksgiving in corporate context ('company of the upright,' 'congregation'). The public nature of praise suggests that individual thanksgiving participates in communal worship.
