“For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”
Eternal goodness: "For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations." The final affirmation of God's eternal goodness, love, and faithfulness provides the ground for perpetual thanksgiving. The firmness of these qualities across all generations provides assurance.
