“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.”
Way and counsel: The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listen to advice. The fool thinks his way is right (yashar derekh). The wise listen to counsel. Wisdom includes openness to correction.
