“At the appointment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burdens, and in all their service: and ye shall appoint unto them in charge all their burdens.”
And the cords thereof, and all the instruments of their service, and all that is to be done with them — Gershon's responsibility extends to the ropes and equipment used in setting up and maintaining the tabernacle structure. The comprehensive enumeration ensures that nothing connected to the tabernacle's physical structure falls outside Gershon's purview.
