“Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;”
In addition, some of our women amazed us. They went to the tomb early this morning — in addition: the empty-tomb report from the women adds another layer. Some of our women amazed us: the women's report is acknowledged but produces amazement rather than belief.

After the manifestation of Christ’s resurrection made by the Angels to the women, the same resurrection is further manifested by an appearance of Christ Himself to His disciples; as it is said, And behold two of them.
Some say that Luke was one of these two, and for this reason concealed his name.
Or to two of the disciples by themselves our Lord showed Himself in the evening, namely, Ammaon and Cleophas.
