“And it came to pass, that, when Jehu was executing judgment upon the house of Ahab, and found the princes of Judah, and the sons of the brethren of Ahaziah, that ministered to Ahaziah, he slew them.”
Jehu's slaughter — Ahaziah and the princes — 'And when Jehu was executing judgment on the house of Ahab, he met the officials of Judah and the sons of Ahaziah's brothers attending Ahaziah, and he killed them' (ויהי בנשׁמר יהוא את בית אחאב וימצא את שׂרי יהודה וביני אחי אחזיהו משׁרתים לאחזיהו ויכם). Jehu's execution of judgment on the house of Ahab (משׁמר, execute justice/judgment on) represents the divinely ordained destruction of the northern dynasty.
