“Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.”
Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ — Paul grounds authority not in his own person but in Christ, establishing a chain of imitation (mimetes) that flows from the transcendent pattern of Christ through apostolic example to the congregation.
