When the Lamb takes the scroll, the four creatures and twenty-four elders fall down before him, each holding a harp and golden bowl of incense. They sing a new song: 'You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe, language, people, and nation.'
Then John hears the voices of millions of angels surrounding the throne, saying with a loud voice, 'Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing!'
The worship encompasses all heaven. It's joined by creatures, elders, angels, and ultimately by every creature in heaven and on earth. The Lamb's worthiness is universal. The basis is singular: he was slain. His sacrifice is the foundation of all his authority.
