I work in tech, and I'm surrounded by people trying to optimize and systematize everything. There's this belief that if you just get the right framework, the right process, the right tools, everything gets easier. We can solve complexity with more data.
But Paul's talking about wisdom and knowledge that aren't available through the information superhighway. They're hidden in Christ. You can't download them. They come through relationship, through slow transformation, through learning to see the world differently.
I've been quieter at work about this, but it's reshaping how I approach my own life. Not everything can be optimized. Some wisdom takes time. Some understanding only comes through lived experience and relationship with God. That doesn't make me a Luddite - I still do my job well. But I'm learning to hold the tech world's ways of knowing loosely and lean into a different kind of knowing in my spiritual life.
