I'm a landscape architect, and I design parks and public spaces. My work is about creating places where humans can rest and remember beauty.
John's image of a river flowing from God's throne through the city - it's merging the sacred and the ordinary, nature and civilization, all in flow together.
I'm using that vision to design differently. Not parks that are separate from human life, but spaces integrated into community. Not nature as recreation, but nature as revelation. A river in the middle of the city where people encounter water, beauty, and something holy.
It's taking me longer. It costs more. But I believe in it as spiritual work now.
