The man brought me back to the entrance of the temple, and I saw water coming out from under the threshold of the temple. The water flows out, and wherever it goes, it brings life. Fish appear where there was no water. Trees grow on both banks, bearing fruit every month for food and leaves for healing.
It's a vision of abundance and restoration flowing from the presence of God. The farther from the temple the water flows, the deeper and wider it becomes. A small stream becomes a mighty river that no one can cross. It's an image of grace and blessing spreading outward.
I love that the water brings food and healing. It's not just spiritual abundance but material flourishing. It's a vision of a world made right, where enough flows for everyone, where health and wholeness are available. It's what we're working toward every time we try to build justice and peace. It's the promise that God's restoration will ultimately extend to all things, healing not just souls but bodies, not just individuals but ecosystems.
