The prophet says: 'The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you. In His love He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.' God delighting in you, singing over you with rejoicing.
It's such a tender image - God's delight, God's joy in His people. Not just acceptance or forgiveness, but active delight. God is pleased.
I have a hard time believing anyone is pleased with me - genuinely pleased, not just tolerating my presence. This verse suggests that God is actively delighted. God sings. Over me. I want to internalize that.
