Bring the tribe of Levi and present them to Aaron the priest. Before there were specialists in ministry, there were ordinary people called to extraordinary service. The Levites weren't chosen because they earned it or performed better in some cosmic evaluation. They were chosen, and that choosing made them holy. I think about my friend David who became a youth pastor. He wasn't the most theologically educated person I knew. He wasn't the most charismatic preacher. But when he felt God calling him to lead teenagers, he said yes. He went through training, studied theology, lost sleep preparing lessons. The calling came first; the capacity grew from saying yes to it. The Levites must have felt that same mixture of humility and responsibility. They weren't stepping into a position they'd earned. They were accepting a vocation God had initiated.
