And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins. Jesus is saying the kingdom can't be contained in old structures.
The structures we've built—religious, social, economic—they have limits. The new thing God is doing will exceed them. I think about institutions that try to contain God. It doesn't work. Something has to give.
