When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, 'Lazarus, come out!' The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face.
The cry is loud, commanding, undeniable. Not whispered. Not subtle. The command to come out from death itself. There's something about life calling to death that has power. I think about areas where I'm spiritually dead. Can I hear that call?
