God calls Jonah to go preach repentance to Nineveh, and Jonah's response is to buy a ticket on a ship going the opposite direction. He doesn't disobey openly - he just leaves. He boards a ship to Tarshish.
I love this verse because it's honest about resistance. Jonah knows what God is asking. He knows it's the right thing. And he does it anyway - just leaves. Doesn't argue, doesn't negotiate, just goes.
I've done that - felt a clear sense of what God was asking and just... not done it. Not because I couldn't, but because I didn't want to. And usually, like Jonah, there are consequences. The storm comes. The fish swallows him. You can't run from God.
