I grew up with almost nothing and now I have some financial security. I'm tempted to hold tight, to make sure I'm protected, to not risk it.
But Paul's saying the wealthy are supposed to be generous and ready to share. Not after they've secured everything, but as part of who they are.
I'm learning to let go of the grip I have on security. Not recklessly, but generously. And I'm finding that generosity is actually more secure than hoarding ever was.
