Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy; for I am the Lord your God. And you shall observe my statutes and perform them.
Holiness is something you do, not something you feel. It's built through action, through practicing the statutes, through deliberate separation from certain behaviors. You consecrate yourself.
I was a very undisciplined believer for years, trusting that feeling spiritually moved was enough. But this verse and others like it pushed me toward actual practice - regular prayer, specific choices about time and attention. Holiness emerged from discipline, not from mood.
