Ezekiel is in a valley full of dry bones, and God asks him: can these bones live? Ezekiel doesn't lie or try to encourage himself. He says: 'Sovereign Lord, only you know.' He's honest about his doubt while acknowledging God's capacity.
Then God tells him to prophesy - to speak life to the bones. And as he does, the bones come together, flesh grows on them, they become alive. The word creates reality.
I've been in situations that seemed hopeless - relationships broken, opportunities lost, capacities diminished. And this verse reminds me: I don't know what's possible. But God does. And there's power in speaking life even when you don't believe it will work. The speaking itself is an act of faith.
