God doesn't introduce himself with grand claims of power in this moment. He says: walk before Me, and be blameless. It's almost humble - God asking Abraham to walk in His presence, to live with integrity in that presence.
My spiritual director pointed out that 'blameless' doesn't mean perfect. Abraham will lie, will doubt, will make serious mistakes. Blameless means wholehearted - not divided, not secretly holding onto other loyalties. Just... sincere in your pursuit.
I've been in recovery for three years now, and the walking part has been everything. Not sudden transformation, not a one-time conversion moment. Just learning to walk - day by day - in front of God, being honest about my struggles instead of hiding them. Some days the blamelessness feels impossible. But God isn't asking for perfection; He's asking for presence, for showing up consistently in the direction of integrity.
