After stopping in Egypt and gathering wealth, Abraham journeys on. He keeps moving, keeps seeking, doesn't settle permanently.
I'm struck by how Genesis people are often marked by movement. Abraham journeys. Isaac dwells. Jacob flees. Joseph is carried away. Movement is the normal state. Dwelling is temporary.
My therapist and I talked about how I'm always in motion, never settling. She suggested maybe that's how I was formed - by a culture of journey, of not belonging fully anywhere. This verse doesn't shame that. It just shows it as the texture of the Abraham story.
