I am, said Jesus. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven — the I am (egō eimi) is the divine self-identification. The first explicit self-identification as Messiah and Son of God in Mark — the Messianic Secret reaches its end. The declaration combines Psalm 110:1 (sitting at the right hand) and Daniel 7:13 (coming on the clouds) — the two texts that together describe the exaltation and parousia of the Son of Man.
