“And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said,”
Some of his disciples were remarking about how the temple was adorned with beautiful stones and with gifts dedicated to God. But Jesus said — the disciples' admiration of the temple's magnificence is the occasion for the prediction of its destruction.
