i.e. by Himself, not by any other. And shall straightway glorify Him, i.e. not at any distant time, but immediately, while He is yet on the very cross shall His glory appear. In this way He restores the drooping spirits of His disciples, and persuades them, instead of sorrowing, to rejoice.
