“As for that night, let darkness seize upon it; let it not be joined unto the days of the year, let it not come into the number of the months.”
Job curses the night that may have conceived him, wishing that it bring forth no fruitfulness but remain barren and empty of joy, extending the sterility curse from the day to the reproductive capacity of the night itself.
